The equipment is designed to deliver a sensation of “flying” while gliding on the water, with speeds of up to 55 km/h. The surfboard is made of carbon fiber and high-performance synthetic materials, weighing around 32 kilos. It is available in four versions, with prices ranging from R$245,000 to R$298,000.
The Aerofoils electric surfboard is a high-tech aquatic leisure equipment that provides an adjustable control system tailored to the user’s profile, as well as essential information during use. The package includes a remote control with a color screen, which displays speed, distance, usage time, and battery level. The system offers three riding modes, adaptable to different user profiles, allowing for a comfortable and progressive ride or a more performance-oriented experience.
The surfboard has two battery options, with a lighter battery providing up to 20 km of range (approximately 60 minutes of use) and a higher capacity battery offering up to 40 km of range (approximately two hours of use). The charging time varies between 75 and 120 minutes with an industrial charger.
Before enabling autonomous driving, Audi recommends a one-day hands-on training with certified instructors, emphasizing that the equipment is powerful and has a high speed that requires caution in an aquatic environment. The Aerofoils electric surfboard was showcased at the Audi e-tron Experience event in Ceará, Brazil, from December 3rd to 6th, where it was presented as a recreational equipment for sports and beach tourism.
