A serious car accident occurred on Monday afternoon in the Okhla Industrial Area of southeast Delhi, leaving the driver of an Audi Q8 e-tron injured. According to police, the Audi, which had a Haryana number plate, lost control and hit three parked cars before crashing into a stationary truck on a service road. The accident occurred at around 12:41 pm, and two PCR calls were received by the police. When they arrived at the scene, they found that the Audi had crashed into the rear of a stationary truck, coming to a halt. The driver of the Audi sustained injuries and was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for medical treatment by a PCR van. Fortunately, no one else was injured in the accident, as the parked vehicles were unoccupied at the time.
Eyewitness Ashutosh Kumar described the scene, stating that he had parked his car in the area around 10 am and went to work. He heard a loud sound around 1 pm and came downstairs to find that multiple cars had been hit, and the Audi had crashed into a parked truck. Kumar noted that the car seemed to be out of control, but the cause of the accident was unclear.
The police are investigating the incident and have registered a case against the driver of the Audi under relevant sections.
