At the EICMA 2025, Piaggio is gearing up to celebrate a major milestone: the 80th anniversary of Vespa, which will take place in 2026. To kick off the festivities, the company has unveiled a special series of Vespa scooters, available on the Primavera and GTS platforms. This limited edition features a unique pastel green livery, known as Verde Pastello, which is echoed in various details throughout the design. The special series also includes custom logos and badges to commemorate the occasion.
The 80th anniversary celebration will be a grand affair, taking place in Rome from June 25 to 28, 2026. The event promises to be the largest Vespa party ever held, and fans of the iconic scooter brand won’t want to miss it. In addition to the special series, Piaggio is also showcasing the 2026 model-year Vespa Primavera and Sprint S at EICMA 2025. These updated models feature technical, functional, and design improvements, including new 12-inch wheels and a 220mm rear disc brake.
The Vespa Primavera and Sprint S are available with a range of engine options, including 50, 125, and 150 cc combustion engines, as well as an electric powertrain. The electric models are homologated as either mopeds (Am license) or motorcycles (A1 license), making them accessible to a wide range of riders. Other notable updates include the return of the retractable hook under the handlebar and the introduction of keyless ignition on models above 50 cc.
Visitors to EICMA 2025 can check out the Vespa models at the Piaggio exhibition area, located in Hall 9, Stand E76. With the 80th anniversary celebration just around the corner, Vespa fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming year. Whether you’re a longtime enthusiast or just discovering the iconic brand, there’s never been a better time to experience the style, innovation, and passion of Vespa.
