Skoda India has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing its previous best-ever sales in a calendar year. The company reported its highest-ever monthly sales of 8,252 units in October 2025, with year-to-date sales of 61,607 units, exceeding the 53,721 units sold in 2022. This achievement is attributed to the company’s strengthened brand presence, product offensive, and network expansion to 318 customer touchpoints.

The all-new Kylaq subcompact SUV has been the key driver of sales, with nearly 40,000 units sold since its launch at the start of the year. This represents about 60% of the company’s total sales so far in 2025. The Kylaq marked Skoda’s return to the subcompact market and its first-ever subcompact SUV for the Indian market. The company is also seeing consistent demand for its other models, including the Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, commented on the milestone, stating that it is a testament to the company’s strength, clarity of vision, and agility of execution. He highlighted the company’s product offensive, culturally relevant communication, and network expansion as key factors contributing to its success.

Skoda India also celebrated the rollout of 5 lakh locally manufactured cars earlier in the year, a milestone achieved almost 24 years after the first model rolled out from its plant in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in 2001. The company’s 25th anniversary in India has been its biggest year yet, with the Kylaq leading the charge.

The company’s sales performance is a significant achievement, considering the competitive nature of the Indian automotive market. Skoda India’s focus on product innovation, customer engagement, and network expansion has paid off, and the company is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the Indian market. With the Kylaq’s strong sales and the consistent demand for its other models, Skoda India is likely to continue its upward trajectory in the coming years.
