A shocking incident of kidnapping and attempted sexual assault has been reported in Mumbai, where a 31-year-old man, Chirag Hargunani, was arrested by the police for allegedly abducting a man in Bandra. The accused, who was driving an Audi car, approached two men on a motorcycle in the early hours of Sunday, pretending to ask for directions to a nearby park. He then asked one of the men, Mohammad Taabish Shoeb Kutty, to sit in his car and guide him, claiming that he was drunk.

However, Hargunani’s intentions were far from genuine, and he abducted Kutty, seeking sexual favors from him. When Kutty asked Hargunani to stop the car, the accused assaulted him. In a brave move, Kutty managed to remove the car keys and stop the vehicle, bringing an end to the ordeal. The police were quickly alerted, and Hargunani was arrested under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions for kidnapping and other offenses.

The police have confirmed that Hargunani is currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of individuals, particularly at night, and the need for vigilance when interacting with strangers. The police have urged citizens to be cautious and report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately.

The arrest of Hargunani has been welcomed as a swift and decisive action by the police, and it is hoped that it will serve as a deterrent to others who may engage in similar criminal behavior. The incident is a reminder of the importance of a robust and effective justice system, where perpetrators of such heinous crimes are brought to book and held accountable for their actions. The police are continuing to investigate the incident, and further details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
