Citroen has launched a new workout guide, called the “Charge Up In 30 Guide”, aimed at helping parents to make their kids more active. The guide was created in response to research that found that half of parents think their children don’t get enough exercise, despite 91% of parents encouraging their kids to be active. The main barrier to exercise is a lack of time, with over a third of parents citing this as a reason.

The guide is designed to be completed in under 30 minutes, which is the time it takes to charge the new e-C3 electric SUV from 20 to 80% using a rapid charger. The guide includes a series of exercises that can be done with children, such as tricep dips using the car’s open tailgate and press ups against the bonnet. The guide also includes warm ups and cool downs, and can be completed in just 26 minutes.

Citroen worked with British athlete Alex Bell and her coach Andrew Henderson to create the guide, which is designed to be a practical and family-friendly solution to the problem of lack of exercise. The guide shows that you don’t need a gym or hours of free time to stay active, and that even a car can be used to support your exercise plan.

The research also found that two thirds of parents exercise with their children, and that this increases to 79% of parents between the ages of 25 and 34. However, it also found that over a fifth of adults aged between 55 and 64 do no exercise at all, and that only 22% can run for between one and five minutes.

The “Charge Up In 30 Guide” is part of Citroen’s efforts to support family wellbeing and promote accessible movement for all. The guide is a fun and creative way to get kids active, and shows that exercise can be incorporated into daily life, even with a busy schedule. By using the guide, families can spend quality time together, get some exercise, and have fun, all while charging their car.
