PLUS, a highway concessionaire, has donated four units of the Honda CR-V to the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to support their enforcement work. The donation ceremony took place in Putrajaya and was attended by Transport Minister Anthony Loke. The Honda CR-Vs, which are equipped with a 1.5L turbo engine, will be used by JPJ for law enforcement, patrol work, and monitoring on PLUS-operated highways.
The vehicles have been fitted with JPJ livery on a white base and feature lights on the roof. This donation is part of a strategic cooperation between PLUS and JPJ aimed at ensuring public safety on highways and strengthening enforcement work along the North-South Highway. The cooperation between the two organizations is focused on providing a safe and secure environment for road users.
This is not the first time PLUS has donated vehicles to JPJ. In 2019, the company donated 10 units of the previous-generation CR-V with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine. The latest donation represents a significant performance upgrade for JPJ officers, who will now have access to more powerful and capable vehicles.
The donation of the Honda CR-Vs is expected to enhance JPJ’s ability to enforce traffic laws and monitor highway activity. The vehicles will be used to patrol the highways, respond to incidents, and conduct enforcement operations. The partnership between PLUS and JPJ demonstrates the commitment of both organizations to improving road safety and reducing the risk of accidents on Malaysian highways.
The ceremony marked an important milestone in the cooperation between PLUS and JPJ, and highlights the importance of collaboration between private companies and government agencies in promoting public safety. With the new vehicles, JPJ will be better equipped to carry out their duties and ensure that road users have a safe and smooth journey on PLUS-operated highways.
