Stellantis Korea has announced the release of Jeep’s third special color edition, called “Father Blue Edition,” in Korea. The edition features a deep blue color that resembles the image of a deep and still sea, symbolizing “my own freedom” that moves quietly but without shaking. The color is called “Fathom,” which is a unit of measurement of water depth and means “measuring.”

The Father Blue Edition will be available in 30 units, consisting of 20 Wranglers and 10 Gladiators. All limited edition models will come equipped with the “Sunrider Flip Top,” a genuine mopar accessory that allows for easy open airing. The flip top is a soft top made of waterproof fabric that can be lifted with simple operation.

Actor Kang Ha-neul, who has started his career as a Jeep Ambassador, will be the main character of the first edition of the limited edition Father Blue Edition. He chose this edition because he felt that the Fathom blue color resembles his inner self the most. Kang Ha-neul plans to ride the Jeep Wrangler Fathom Blue Edition in person to show his daily life and the freedom that Jeep conveys.

The Wrangler Fathom Blue Edition is based on the Wrangler Sahara hardtop model and features a 2.0ℓ series 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, with a maximum output of 272 horsepower and a maximum torque of 40.8 kg·m. The Gladiator Fathom Blue Edition, which is sold together with the Wrangler, features a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, with a maximum power of 284 horsepower, a maximum torque of 35.4 kg·m, and a traction of 2,721 kg.

The prices of the Wrangler and Gladiator Fathom Blue Editions are 82.9 million won and 87.1 million won, respectively. According to Bangsil, CEO of Stellantis Korea, the Father Blue Edition is the perfect finish to the Wrangler Color Edition, which has expressed freedom in various ways across the city center and nature this summer. The meeting between Kang Ha-neul and the Fathom Blue Edition symbolizes the true “Jeep Life” of this era, which is about enjoying freedom in one’s own way.
