The Skoda Kylaq is set to receive a price cut of up to Rs 1.19 lakh starting from September 22, due to the new GST rates coming into effect. The Czech carmaker has announced that the prices of the Kylaq will be reduced across all variants, with the maximum savings of Rs 1.19 lakh available on the top-spec Prestige automatic variant. The manual variants will also receive significant savings, with the Classic variant getting a price cut of Rs 70,000, the Signature variant getting a cut of Rs 85,000, and the Prestige variant getting a cut of Rs 1.1 lakh.
The price cut is a result of the Skoda Kylaq being categorized as a small car, with a length of under four meters and an engine capacity of under 1,200cc. As a result, the GST rate on the vehicle has been reduced from 29% (including 1% cess) to a flat 18%, resulting in an 11% savings for customers. The new prices will be applicable from September 22, and interested customers are advised to wait until then to purchase the vehicle.
The revised prices for the Skoda Kylaq are as follows:
* Manual Variants:
+ Classic: Rs 7.55 lakh (old price: Rs 8.25 lakh, savings: Rs 70,000)
+ Signature: Rs 9 lakh (old price: Rs 9.85 lakh, savings: Rs 85,000)
+ Signature Plus: Rs 10.34 lakh (old price: Rs 11.3 lakh, savings: Rs 96,000)
+ Prestige: Rs 11.84 lakh (old price: Rs 12.94 lakh, savings: Rs 1.1 lakh)

+ Prestige: Rs 12.8 lakh (old price: Rs 13.99 lakh, savings: Rs 1.19 lakh)
It’s worth noting that Skoda is offering equivalent GST benefits as cash discounts on other models, such as the Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq, until September 21. However, this offer is not available on the Kylaq, and customers will have to wait until September 22 to take advantage of the new prices.
