A 1942 WWII Willys Jeep that was stolen from a property in Agua Dulce has been recovered, and a woman has been arrested in connection with the theft. The victim reported the theft to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station after being alerted by an acquaintance that the Jeep was listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Deputies were able to track down the stolen vehicle to a Lowe’s parking lot in Canyon Country, where they arrested Monica Merriman, 47, of Santa Clarita.

Merriman was arrested for felony grand theft and was cited and released with a future court appearance date. The incident is currently under investigation.
