The next-generation e:HEV, Honda’s hybrid electric vehicle, will feature an improved powertrain with renewed component parts, including engines, drive units, and control technology. The small-size 1.5-liter engine and mid-size 2.0-liter engine will be equipped with a direct-injection Atkinson cycle, front drive unit, and integrated cooling system to improve fuel economy and performance. The new engines will be designed to meet future environmental regulations and achieve excellent power output and fuel economy. The small-size 1.5-liter engine will have a significant improvement in fuel economy, with a 40% increase in efficiency. The front drive unit will be downsized and efficient, reducing costs. The engine and motor performance in each drive mode will be optimized, with improved fuel economy in Engine Drive Mode and increased efficiency in EV and Hybrid Drive Modes. The 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter engines will have the highest combustion efficiency, resulting in improved environmental performance and a better driving experience. The next-generation e:HEV aims to improve fuel economy by more than 10% compared to the previous generation, providing a more efficient and enjoyable driving experience.
