Skoda has started production of the Kodiaq in India at its Aurangabad facility. The company plans to deliver the SUV to customers starting January 2022. The Kodiaq is Skoda’s first SUV to be manufactured in India, and it marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion plans in the country. The vehicle is designed to cater to the growing demand for premium SUVs in the Indian market.
The Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine that produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission and all-wheel-drive technology. The SUV features advanced safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and parking sensors.
Skoda plans to export the Kodiaq from India to several markets, including Australia, Mexico, and other Asian countries. The company aims to increase its market share in India and become one of the top three automotive brands in the country by 2025. The launch of the Kodiaq is a significant step towards achieving this goal.
