BYD Auto has appointed BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian distributor controlled by Sime Darby Group, as the official distributor for its Denza premium battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand. Additionally, Sime Darby Auto Imports Sdn Bhd, a unit of the group, will be the official importer for Malaysia. BYD aims to provide Malaysians with a premium EV experience through its advanced technology. Liu Xueliang, head of sales at BYD Asia-Pacific, expressed pride in bringing BYD’s EV technology to Malaysia, a growing market with high demand for sustainable mobility. Denza is expected to redefine the premium EV experience and set new standards for local drivers. The partnership with Sime Darby demonstrates BYD’s commitment to the Malaysian market, which is seeing a surge in demand for eco-friendly vehicles.
