VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, reported a significant increase in sales for the month of December 2025. The company sold 10,384 units, representing a 24.7% year-on-year growth compared to 8,324 units sold in December 2024. The majority of the sales came from Eicher-branded trucks and buses, which accounted for 10,177 units, a 26.7% increase from the previous year.

In the domestic commercial vehicle market, Eicher recorded sales of 9,527 units, up 26.3% from 7,545 units in December 2024. The company also saw a significant increase in exports, with 650 units sold in December 2025, a 32.7% growth compared to 490 units in the same month the previous year.

However, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses reported a decline in sales, with 207 units sold in December 2025, down 28.4% from 289 units in the same month the previous year. Despite this decline, the overall sales performance of VECV was strong, driven by the growth of Eicher-branded vehicles.

The company’s performance is a positive indicator for the commercial vehicle industry, which has been experiencing a rebound in recent times. The growth in sales can be attributed to the increasing demand for commercial vehicles, driven by the government’s focus on infrastructure development and the growth of the logistics and transportation sector.

VECV’s strong sales performance is also a testament to the company’s strategy of focusing on the domestic market and expanding its export business. The company’s Eicher-branded vehicles have been popular in the domestic market, and the company has been able to leverage its partnership with Volvo to expand its export business.

Overall, VECV’s sales performance in December 2025 is a positive sign for the company and the commercial vehicle industry as a whole. The company’s focus on the domestic market and exports, combined with its strong product lineup, is expected to drive growth in the coming months.
