The Skoda Epiq, an all-electric SUV, is set to make its debut in mid-2026. The vehicle was first unveiled as a showcar about 1.5 years ago, and a production-ready test mule has recently been spotted. The Epiq is expected to match the price of its internal combustion engine (ICE) sibling, the Kamiq. The test mule appears to have retained several design elements from the showcar, including large air intakes, a distinctive front fascia, and T-shaped lighting elements.

The Epiq’s interior will be the first to feature Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design language, which aims to enhance the vehicle’s longevity. The interior will also boast a range of features, including a 425-litre boot, wireless phone charger, haptic scroll wheel, and “Simply Clever” compartments. The vehicle will have a button-controlled interface and a sleek, modern design.

In terms of technical specifications, the Skoda Epiq is expected to come with two battery configurations, delivering a maximum claimed range of 425km. The vehicle is being developed jointly by Skoda, Volkswagen, and Cupra, and is currently being built in Pamplona, Spain. As the smallest Skoda EV, the Epiq is expected to be priced competitively, with a predicted price tag of around EUR 25,000 (Rs. 26.27 lakh).

The Skoda Epiq is an exciting new addition to the brand’s lineup, offering a compact and affordable electric vehicle option. With its modern design, impressive range, and feature-packed interior, the Epiq is likely to appeal to a wide range of buyers. The vehicle’s joint development with Volkswagen and Cupra also ensures that it will benefit from the latest technology and expertise from the Volkswagen Group. Overall, the Skoda Epiq is an eagerly anticipated model that is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.
