Skoda has released the first teaser images of the upcoming Kushaq facelift, which is set to launch in the coming week. The Kushaq, a compact SUV, was first introduced in India in March 2021 and marked the debut of the new MQB A0 IN platform in the Indian market. The updated model is expected to feature a revised design, with a larger and more upright Skoda butterfly grille, sculpted bonnet, and prominent shoulder line. The teasers also hint at a silver trim on the lower bumper.
The cabin is expected to receive minor design updates, including new materials and colors, as well as revised control surfaces. The feature list is likely to be enhanced with the addition of a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and possibly even advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) technology.
The powertrain options are expected to remain the same, with the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engines being offered with manual and automatic gearbox options. The Kushaq facelift will be the first of the updated India 2.0 series from Skoda Volkswagen India, with the Skoda Slavia, VW Taigun, and VW Virtus set to receive facelifts in the coming years.
In addition to the Kushaq facelift, Skoda has several other models in the pipeline, including the Elroq, 7S Concept, Enyaq iV, Kamiq, and Vision O concept. The Enyaq iV is an electric SUV, while the Kamiq is a compact SUV that has been popular in international markets. The 7S Concept and Vision O concept are expected to be future-ready models with advanced technology and design features. The Elroq, on the other hand, is expected to be a compact SUV designed specifically for the Indian market.
Overall, the Kushaq facelift is an important update for Skoda, and its success will be crucial for the brand’s growth in the Indian market. With its revised design, updated features, and existing powertrain options, the Kushaq facelift is expected to continue to be a popular choice among compact SUV buyers in India.
