JSW MG Motor has announced that it will unveil the MG Majestor, a heavily refreshed iteration of the Gloster, on February 12, 2026. The MG Majestor was first showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, and it is expected to be positioned as a more premium offering above the Gloster. The company has not yet confirmed whether both models will coexist in the lineup. The MG Majestor features a comprehensive overhaul from the inside out, with a new design that includes a large grille, sleek headlights, and LED DRLs. The side profile is highlighted by 19-inch alloy wheels, while the rear features new connected LED tail-lights and a more sophisticated bumper design.
The interior of the MG Majestor is expected to feature a range of premium amenities, including dual-tone upholstery, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a larger free-standing infotainment system. Additionally, the SUV is expected to come with a range of features such as a wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite, automatic three-zone climate control, and powered, ventilated, heated front seats. The SUV will also feature LED headlights, fog lamps, and LED taillights.
Mechanically, the MG Majestor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 163 hp and 375 Nm in the 4×2 variant, and 218 hp and 480 Nm in the 4×4 version. The SUV will also feature differential locks and dedicated switches to toggle between 2WD, 4WD, and low-range 4WD mode. The MG Majestor has been spotted undergoing rigorous off-road testing, highlighting its suspension articulation and underbody capability. The test vehicle was seen climbing over large rocks and perched on a rock, showcasing its wheel travel and ground clearance. The MG Majestor is expected to be positioned as a premium offering in the SUV market, with the test mule featuring prominent “India’s first D-Plus SUV” branding on its side. Overall, the MG Majestor is expected to be a significant addition to the Indian SUV market, with its premium features, powerful engine, and advanced capabilities.
