Citroën is returning to the Rétromobile Show with a 512 m² stand, celebrating over 100 years of creativity and innovation. The brand is unveiling the ELO concept car to the French public for the first time, which embodies a bold vision of future mobility. The ELO concept is a compact, modular, and electric vehicle that can accommodate up to six people and is designed for various uses such as mobility, remote working, leisure, and relaxation.
Alongside the ELO, Citroën is presenting several iconic concept cars that defined their respective eras, including the 2 CV A, C10, Karin, Activa 1, Xanae, and C-Cactus. These concept cars showcase the brand’s commitment to design, creativity, and innovation, and demonstrate how they have inspired the ELO concept.
The ELO concept draws inspiration from Citroën’s historic concepts, such as the Karin, which featured a central driving position and futuristic interface. The ELO’s architecture is 100% electric, which allows for maximum space and modularity. The concept also features a distinctive MPV silhouette, which reinterprets the mono-volume concept, and a centrally positioned driver’s seat that echoes the boldness of the Karin.
Citroën is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Rétromobile Show and the 50th anniversary of the first public appearance of the Traction Avant 15-6 Cabriolet in France. The brand is exhibiting the one and only Traction Avant 15-6 Cabriolet, which was originally showcased in 1976 during the inaugural Rétromobile.
The Rétromobile Show will take place from January 28 to February 1, 2026, and Citroën’s stand will be located in Hall 7.2. The brand will also have a merchandising boutique showcasing a selection of products from the Citroën Lifestyle e-shop. Citroën’s participation in the Rétromobile Show would not be possible without the support of L’Aventure Citroën, a non-profit association dedicated to preserving, developing, and promoting the brand’s heritage.
Overall, Citroën’s participation in the Rétromobile Show is a celebration of the brand’s rich heritage and its commitment to design, creativity, and innovation. The ELO concept car is a bold vision of future mobility, and the brand’s iconic concept cars on display demonstrate how Citroën has always pushed the boundaries of automotive design and technology.
