Skoda has reached a significant milestone with the production of its 100,000th all-electric Elroq, which was achieved in less than a year after full-scale production began at its factory in the Czech Republic. The 100,000th Elroq was a rally-derived vRS model, finished in Mamba Green, and features a dual-motor, all-wheel drive system producing 335bhp. This achievement is a testament to the company’s preparation and adaptations to its production processes, which have allowed it to build battery-electric and internal combustion engine vehicles on the same line.

The Skoda Elroq has been a huge success since its debut, winning numerous awards including Car of the Year 2025, Best Electric Family SUV, and a Red Dot prize for its design. It has consistently ranked high in top 10 EV tables across Europe and is the best-selling full EV in several countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Denmark. The Elroq’s success has also been reflected in its sales, with it remaining one of the top three best-selling compact SUVs in several European countries.

Skoda’s board member for production and logistics, Andreas Dick, commented on the achievement, stating that it reflects the company’s rigorous preparation and targeted adaptations to its production processes. He also highlighted the flexibility of the company’s production line, which allows it to build both battery-electric and internal combustion engine vehicles.

In addition to the Elroq’s success, Skoda is also celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations, the company has re-imagined some of its historic models as EVs, including the 110R, the Felicia Fun pickup, and the Favorit. The company has also introduced the Enyaq Race, which showcases EV tech in motorsport and features lightweight and sustainable manufacturing techniques.

Looking to the future, Skoda plans to introduce its all-electric Epiq crossover in 2026, and has also provided a glimpse of what a fully-electrified Octavia could look like with its Vision O concept. The company’s commitment to electric vehicles is clear, and it is well-positioned to continue to be a major player in the EV market in the years to come. With its focus on innovative design, sustainable manufacturing, and cutting-edge technology, Skoda is set to remain a leading brand in the automotive industry.
