Skoda Auto has reached a significant milestone with the production of 100,000 units of its all-electric Elroq compact SUV since the start of the year. The anniversary car, an Elroq vRS in Hyper Green, marks a major achievement for the company, which has seen strong demand for its battery-electric SUVs, including the Elroq and Enyaq. The Elroq has been well-received by customers and experts alike, ranking second among Europe’s best-selling battery-electric vehicle (BEV) models in the first three quarters of 2025.

The Elroq is produced on a flexible line that also builds the Enyaq and the MQB-based Octavia, allowing Skoda to quickly respond to customer demand by producing both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) models on the same line. This flexibility has enabled the company to meet the growing demand for its electric vehicles, with nearly 120,000 BEVs delivered globally in the first three quarters of 2025.

The Elroq has garnered numerous international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the title of “German Car of the Year 2026”. The car’s success can be attributed to its excellent manufacturing quality, as well as its attractive price-performance ratio, handling, and drivetrain. In Germany, Skoda’s largest single market, the Elroq was the best-selling electric vehicle in October, with 3,320 registrations.

Andreas Dick, Skoda Auto Board Member for Production and Logistics, commented on the achievement, stating that producing 100,000 Elroqs in under a year of series production is a major achievement for the team. He attributed the success to rigorous preparation and targeted adaptations to the production processes, which have enabled the company to fully leverage the flexibility of its production line.

The Elroq’s popularity extends beyond Europe, with the car ranking among the top three best-selling BEVs in several countries, including Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. In the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Slovakia, the Elroq is the best-selling BEV. With its strong demand and numerous awards, the Elroq is a significant contributor to Skoda’s growing presence in the electric vehicle market.
