The Japan Mobility Show 2025 has witnessed the unveiling of the Century Coupe, a luxurious two-door car from Toyota’s newest ultra-luxury brand, Century. The Century nameplate, introduced in 1967 as a sedan, will now operate as a standalone brand, competing with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The Century Coupe boasts a futuristic design, with a metallic red finish comprising 60 layers of paint. Its exterior features include a massive grille, quad LED headlamps, and a sculpted bonnet, while its profile reveals a coupe-SUV design with a tapering roofline.

The vehicle’s interior features a four-seat layout with ample legroom and easy access to the rear, thanks to the absence of B-pillars. The driver’s area is equipped with a yoke-style steering wheel and smartphone-like infotainment screens. Although technical specifications are not yet available, the bonnet vents suggest the presence of an internal combustion engine, possibly a plug-in hybrid V6. The Century Coupe is expected to be a high-performance vehicle, with power sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Century brand aims to position the Coupe as a car in a class of its own, standing at the pinnacle of luxury and performance. Alongside the Century Coupe, Toyota showcased four other Century models, including two restored Toyota Century sedans and a specially equipped Century SUV. While there is no word on the launch of the Century Coupe, the brand’s introduction of this luxurious vehicle marks a significant entry into the ultra-luxury market.

The Century Coupe’s design and features are expected to appeal to those seeking a unique and exclusive driving experience. With its sleek exterior, spacious interior, and advanced technology, the Century Coupe is poised to make a statement in the automotive world. As Toyota’s newest ultra-luxury brand, Century is set to compete with established players in the market, offering a fresh perspective on luxury and performance. The Japan Mobility Show 2025 has provided a glimpse into the future of luxury motoring, and the Century Coupe is certainly a vehicle to watch.
