The Citroën Aircross X has been launched in India, with prices starting at ₹9.77 lakh. The new model is part of Citroën’s “X” series line-up, which offers upgraded features and equipment compared to the standard Aircross. On the outside, the Aircross X retains the same rugged styling as the standard model, with the addition of new LED fog lamps and an “X” badge on the tailgate.
Inside the cabin, the Aircross X has seen significant updates, including the introduction of “Proxi Sense”, a passive entry and exit system, and a new key fob. The cabin also features soft-touch leatherette material, ambient lighting, and a redesigned gear-lever. The front seats are now ventilated and can be operated via switches on the outer side of the seats.
In terms of safety features, the Aircross X comes with six airbags, ABS, hill-hold assist, and electronic stability program (ESP), as well as new features such as an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, cruise control, and an engine start/stop switch. Buyers can also opt for a 360° camera system at an additional cost of ₹25,000.
One of the standout features of the Aircross X is CARA, a voice assistant developed by Stellantis that can speak 52 languages, including several Indian languages. CARA is available exclusively on the top-end Max Automatic variants and can be accessed through the Aircross X’s 10.25-inch infotainment display.
The Citroën Aircross X is offered in six monotone and four dual-tone color options, with the latter available for an additional ₹20,000. Mechanically, the Aircross X remains unchanged, with the same renowned suspension setup, engine, and transmission options as the standard Aircross.
Prices for the standard Aircross start at ₹8.29 lakh, while the new Aircross X range starts at ₹9.77 lakh and extends up to around ₹13.5 lakh for the top-spec Max variant. The Aircross has recently earned a five-star safety rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP), making it an even more appealing choice in its segment. Overall, the Citroën Aircross X offers a range of upgrades and new features that make it a compelling option for buyers in the Indian market.
