Classic Legends, the company behind iconic motorcycle brands Jawa and Yezdi, has announced a price revision for its entire lineup, making most models more affordable with prices under Rs 2 lakh. This move comes after the Indian government’s GST 2.0 reforms, which reduced the GST rate on motorcycles under 350 cc from 28% to 18%. Classic Legends is passing on the full tax benefit to customers, making these legendary motorcycles more accessible to young riders across India.
The updated pricing covers various variants across the Adventure, Roadster, Bobber, and Scrambler segments, featuring either a 293cc or a 334cc Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine. The 334cc engine delivers 29 PS and 30 Nm of torque, outperforming many peers in the segment. According to Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, the government’s GST reforms will have a positive impact on the motorcycle industry, making mid-segment bikes more accessible to a larger rider community.
Classic Legends has extended the GST 2.0 benefits to after-sales components, lowering overall ownership costs. All motorcycles come with the ‘Jawa Yezdi BSA Ownership Assurance Programme’, which includes a standard 4-year/50,000 km warranty, extended coverage options up to six years, one year of roadside assistance, and a wide range of ownership benefits. The company has also expanded its network to over 450 sales and service touchpoints across India, ensuring convenient access and maintenance.
The price revision, coupled with ownership assurance, positions Jawa and Yezdi as aspirational yet achievable motorcycles, blending heritage, performance, and reliability for the Indian market.
