Classic Legends, the company behind Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles, has announced a price revision across its portfolio, passing on the benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms to customers. The GST rate for motorcycles up to 350cc has been reduced from 28% to 18%, making Jawa and Yezdi models more affordable for Indian riders. The revised prices have made these motorcycles more accessible, with all models now priced under Rs 2 lakh.
The GST 2.0 reforms, effective September 6, 2025, aim to boost affordable mobility and strengthen demand in the auto sector. The reduced GST rate will benefit small cars, motorcycles under 350cc, three-wheelers, buses, trucks, and ambulances, while larger vehicles, including SUVs and two-wheelers above 350cc, will attract a higher GST rate of 40%.
Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles, built on 293cc and 334cc Alpha2 liquid-cooled platforms, are among the biggest beneficiaries of the reform. The company has welcomed the policy shift, stating that it will bring a positive change for the motorcycling culture in India. Anupam Thareja, Co-founder of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, said that the company is proud to pass on 100% of the GST benefits to customers, making the motorcycles more affordable just in time for the festive season.
The revised prices for Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles offer significant savings for customers. For example, the Yezdi Roadster is now priced at Rs 1,93,565, down from Rs 2,09,969, resulting in savings of Rs 16,404. Similarly, the Jawa 42 is now priced at Rs 1,59,431, down from Rs 1,72,942, delivering a benefit of Rs 13,511.
Classic Legends also offers a comprehensive ownership assurance program, which includes a 4-year/50,000km standard warranty, extended coverage options, and roadside assistance. With a sales and service network expanded to over 450 touchpoints, ownership has never been more convenient. The company’s decision to pass on the GST benefits to customers is expected to boost sales and make Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles more appealing to Indian riders.
