The Indian automotive market has witnessed a significant shift in the performance segment with the introduction of SUVs like the XEV 9e and the Harrier.ev by Mahindra and Tata Motors, respectively. However, Vinfast has recently launched the VF7, which boasts even more power at an aggressive price point. The VF7 is available in five trims – Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity – with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 20.89 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh.

The on-road prices for the VF7 in India’s top 7 cities vary, but the base model starts at around Rs 23.5 lakh, while the top-end variant costs approximately Rs 28.5 lakh. The VF7 is offered with two battery pack options – 59.6kWh and 70kWh – which are paired with motors producing varying amounts of power. The most powerful variant, with a dual-motor setup, produces a whopping 349bhp and 500Nm of power, making it the most powerful SUV available at this price point.

In addition to its impressive performance, the VF7 is also a feature-loaded SUV. It comes with LED headlights, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, wireless phone charger, ventilated seats, reclinable rear seats, Level 2 ADAS, and dual-zone automatic climate control, among other features. The VF7’s claimed range varies from 438km to 532km, depending on the battery pack and motor configuration.

Overall, the Vinfast VF7 has disrupted the Indian SUV market with its aggressive pricing and impressive performance. Its features and specifications make it an attractive option for those in the market for a powerful and feature-loaded SUV. With its launch, the VF7 is set to give other SUVs in the segment, such as the XEV 9e and the Harrier.ev, a run for their money. As the Indian automotive market continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how the VF7 performs in terms of sales and customer reception.
