Maruti Suzuki has introduced a series of updates to its XL6 MPV, aimed at enhancing the overall driving experience. Although the company has not made a formal announcement, the changes are already visible in the official brochure and apply to all three trims: Zeta, Alpha, and Alpha+. One of the notable updates is the redesigned rear spoiler, which is now a standard feature across all variants. The new spoiler boasts a sportier design with a more prominent profile and contrasting black inserts at the edges.
Inside the vehicle, the second-row air-conditioning vents have been repositioned from the roof to behind the center console, providing more convenient access and freeing up additional headroom for rear passengers. Furthermore, the third-row occupants now have their own dedicated air-conditioning vents with blower speed control, mounted on the right-hand side. Another significant addition is the inclusion of Type-C USB charging ports, with two outlets each for the middle and third rows.
It’s worth noting that the XL6 underwent another update in July, which saw the introduction of six airbags as a standard feature across all variants. This update was accompanied by a 0.8 percent price hike, resulting in the MPV being priced between Rs. 11.94 lakh and Rs. 14.84 lakh (ex-showroom). Mechanically, the XL6 remains unchanged, with a 1.5-liter petrol engine delivering 102bhp and 136.8Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Additionally, a CNG variant is available, producing 87bhp and 121.5Nm, exclusively paired with the manual gearbox.
Overall, the updates to the XL6 MPV focus on providing a more comfortable and convenient driving experience, with a range of practical features and improvements. The addition of Type-C USB charging ports, repositioned air-conditioning vents, and a redesigned rear spoiler are all aimed at enhancing the overall user experience. With its updated features and unchanged mechanical specifications, the XL6 remains a competitive option in the MPV market.
