The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect and a vehicle involved in a serious incident. The police are advising the public to exercise caution and not approach the vehicle or the suspect, as a firearm is involved. If the vehicle is spotted, individuals are urged to call 310-RCMP (7267) or 911 in the event of an emergency to report its location.

According to the RCMP, a second incident occurred at noon, east of the Christopher Lake turnoff and the Highway 2 junction. A vehicle, whose make and model have not been specified, was found abandoned at the scene. The police are currently searching for a male suspect, described as being of First Nations descent, in his early 20s, and wearing black pants and white runners. The suspect was last seen in the area east of Christopher Lake.

The RCMP are warning the public not to approach the suspect if he is spotted, but instead to contact the police immediately at 310-7267 (RCMP) or 911. The police are also encouraging individuals to report any information about the stolen vehicle or the suspect’s whereabouts to Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
