The Indian market’s love for retro motorcycles has been growing over the past decade, with legendary brands like Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA making a comeback to challenge Royal Enfield’s dominance. 2025 has been an exciting year for motorcycle launches, with several upcoming retro models expected to hit the market. Here are some of the most anticipated ones:

  1. Royal Enfield Bullet 650: The iconic Bullet is getting a major upgrade with a 650cc parallel-twin engine, expected to launch by the end of 2025. The new bike will retain its classic styling while featuring modern amenities like a Tripper navigation pod. Pricing is expected to be around Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
  2. Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 & Vitpilen 250: The Swedish brand is updating its neo-retro machines with new features like 17-inch alloy wheels and a colored TFT display. The bikes have already arrived at dealerships, with an official launch expected soon.
  3. Triumph Scrambler T4: This upcoming motorcycle is expected to feature a less powerful engine from the Speed T4, making it a more accessible option for those who want a Triumph scrambler without breaking the bank. Pricing is expected to be around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
  4. Yezdi Roadster: The updated Yezdi Roadster is expected to launch on August 12, 2025, with design updates and possibly two variants: a regular roadster and a bobber. The bike may borrow key features from the 2025 Yezdi Adventure, including switchable traction control and an improved instrument console.
  5. BSA Scrambler 650: The BSA Scrambler 650, recently launched in the UK, is expected to arrive in India by the end of 2025. The bike features a 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and scrambler-specific elements like a high-mounted front fender and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Pricing is expected to be around Rs 3.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Other notable mentions include TVS’s plans for Norton, which may include a brand new V4 superbike and a 450cc twin-cylinder retro bike using the shared BMW 450 platform. With these upcoming launches, the Indian motorcycle market is set to become even more exciting, with a range of options for those who love retro styling and modern performance.
