The Citroen C3, a popular hatchback in the Indian market, has just received a significant price drop. According to recent reports, the C3’s price has been reduced by a whopping Rs 1.29 lakh, making it a more attractive option for potential buyers. This move is likely aimed at boosting sales and competing with other models in the same segment.

The Citroen C3 was launched in India in July 2022, and since then, it has been priced between Rs 5.70 lakh and Rs 8.05 lakh (ex-showroom). However, with the new price drop, the base variant of the C3 now starts at Rs 5.43 lakh, while the top-of-the-line variant is priced at Rs 6.93 lakh (ex-showroom). This reduction in price makes the C3 a more competitive offering in the hatchback segment, which is dominated by models like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Tata Tiago.

The Citroen C3 is available in two engine options: a 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 82 horsepower and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 110 horsepower. The car also comes with a range of features, including a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a host of safety features like dual airbags, ABS, and rear parking sensors.

The price drop is expected to make the C3 more appealing to buyers who are looking for a feature-packed and affordable hatchback. Citroen has also been offering discounts and benefits on the C3, which further sweetens the deal. With the new pricing, the C3 is likely to give its competitors a run for their money, and it will be interesting to see how the market responds to this move.

It’s worth noting that the price drop is not just limited to the base variant, but across all variants of the C3. This means that buyers can now get their hands on a higher-spec variant of the C3 at a lower price point, which could be a major draw for those looking for a more premium hatchback experience. Overall, the price drop is a welcome move, and it’s likely to boost sales of the C3 in the coming months.
