The BSA Bantam 350 has been launched in the UK, marking the resurrection of the Bantam nameplate. The motorcycle is based on the Jawa 42 FJ, but features distinctive styling that sets it apart from its counterpart. The Bantam 350 is expected to be launched soon in the European market and will serve as the entry-level offering in BSA’s lineup in the UK. The bike boasts a sleek design, with a round headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, and a minimalist tail section.

Powering the Bantam 350 is the same 334cc, liquid-cooled, Alpha 2 motor that powers the Jawa-Yezdi lineup. This motor produces approximately 29bhp and 29Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike’s chassis and suspension components are identical to those of the Jawa 42 FJ, providing a solid foundation for the Bantam 350.

It’s worth noting that the Bantam 350 is primarily developed for the European and global markets, and is unlikely to be launched in India. Classic Legends, the company behind the BSA brand, may not want to dilute the brand’s image in India with an entry-level offering. However, an official confirmation from Classic Legends is still awaited.

The BSA Bantam has a rich history, with the original model being a lightweight two-stroke motorcycle that was manufactured from 1948 to 1971. The launch of the Bantam 350 marks a new chapter in the brand’s history, and is expected to appeal to fans of classic motorcycles. In addition to the Bantam 350, BSA Motorcycle has also unveiled the Scrambler 650 in the UK, which is based on the BSA Gold Star and is set to be launched in India soon. Overall, the Bantam 350 is an exciting new addition to the BSA lineup, and is sure to generate interest among motorcycle enthusiasts in the UK and beyond.
