The Honda CD 110 Dream has been discontinued in India after 11 years of production. The company has removed the model from its official website, indicating that it has been phased out due to a significant decline in sales. In March 2025, only 33 units of the CD 110 Dream were sold, compared to 8,511 units in March 2024. This steep decline in sales led to the decision to discontinue the model.
The CD 110 Dream was first launched in July 2014 at a price of Rs 41,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and was the most affordable motorcycle model in India at the time. It was priced lower than other models in the “Dream” series, such as the Dream Neo and Dream Yuga. The CD 110 Dream was available in three color options and came with features such as a maintenance-free battery, six-spoke alloy wheels, and a Combi-Brake System (CBS).
In 2016, a deluxe variant of the bike was introduced, which included a dual-tone black and green color scheme and a self-start feature. The bike had a diamond-type frame, telescopic front suspension, and dual-shock absorbers at the rear. However, it did not have disc brakes, even as an optional feature.
The CD 110 Dream was powered by a 109.51 cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine that produced 8.6 bhp and 9.3 Nm of torque. The engine was linked to a 4-speed gearbox and had a claimed mileage of 74 kmpl. Despite its impressive specifications, the CD 110 Dream failed to keep up with the competition, and its sales declined significantly over time.
Honda has not completely exited the entry-level commuter segment, as it will continue to sell the Shine 100, which is priced at Rs 61,915 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The decision to discontinue the CD 110 Dream is seen as a strategic move to position the Shine 100 better in the market. The CD 110 Dream was a value-for-money model in its time, but it lost its charm due to the arrival of new competitors with modern features. With its discontinuation, Honda is looking to focus on more competitive models in the entry-level segment.
