The Bajaj Freedom 125, India’s first CNG motorcycle, has received a price cut on its entry-level NG04 Drum variant. The bike’s new price is Rs 85,976 (ex-showroom), which is a reduction of Rs 5,000 from its previous price of Rs 90,976. This discount is aimed at boosting sales for the CNG bike, which has garnered significant attention in the market since its launch. However, it’s worth noting that the price cut only applies to the entry-level model, while the prices of other variants remain unchanged.

The Bajaj Freedom 125 comes with a range of features, including a round headlamp, daytime running light (DRL), mid-set footpegs, and a wide handlebar. It also has alloy wheels, a USB charging port, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The bike’s instrument cluster also includes a button that allows the rider to switch between CNG and petrol modes. Additionally, the top-end models come with a negative LCD cluster and Bluetooth connectivity.

In terms of performance, the Bajaj Freedom 125 is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 9bhp of maximum power and 9.7Nm of peak torque. The bike has a 5-speed gearbox and can reach a top speed of 90.5km/h on CNG and 93.4km/h on petrol. The bike’s mileage is also impressive, with a claimed 102km/kg on CNG and 65km/l on petrol.

The bike’s suspension system consists of a telescopic front fork and a linked monoshock at the rear, while the braking system includes drum brakes at both ends, with the option of a front disc brake on the top-spec model. The bike’s frame is a tubular trellis design, which provides strength and protection to the CNG tank. Overall, the Bajaj Freedom 125 is a unique and feature-packed motorcycle that offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional petrol-powered bikes. With its recent price cut, it’s an even more attractive option for buyers in the market for a CNG motorcycle.
