A shocking incident occurred at a police checkpoint in Faridabad, where a home guard was dragged for nearly a kilometer on the bonnet of a pickup jeep after it hit him. The incident took place on the Delhi-Mathura road at Sohna T point, where home guard Gaurav and Sub-Inspector Rajesh Kumar were checking vehicles. When Gaurav asked the driver of the pickup truck to produce his documents, the driver refused to stop and instead sped away, hitting Gaurav in the process.
Gaurav managed to catch hold of the bonnet of the vehicle and clung to the iron net as the driver drove for nearly a kilometer. Fellow policemen eventually stopped the vehicle, and Gaurav was taken to hospital with injuries to his leg. The driver, identified as Kundan, was arrested from Tirkha Colony in Faridabad. According to Kundan, he fled the scene because he did not have complete documents for the vehicle.
