DGM Racing and Jesse Iwuji Motorsports have announced that Jesse Iwuji will make his return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Talladega Superspeedway, driving the No. 91 Chevrolet. This will be Iwuji’s first Xfinity Series start since 2023, and he will be behind the wheel of a car featuring a patriotic red, white, and blue paint scheme in honor of his service as a U.S. Naval Officer. The car will also feature the National Memorial Day Parade logo on the doors, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the parade, which pays tribute to fallen military heroes.

Iwuji is excited to be back behind the wheel, having spent time as a co-owner and learning from the team’s drivers. He has a long history with Chevrolet, which dates back to his time in active duty when he developed a passion for performance cars and motorsports. Chevrolet Accessories, Lincoln Electric, and the eRacing Association are supporting Iwuji’s effort, with Lincoln Electric providing equipment to prepare the team’s Chevrolets and the eRacing Association providing simulation platforms for training.

The partnership between DGM Racing and Jesse Iwuji Motorsports is a new alliance, and owner Mario Gosselin is looking forward to Iwuji’s debut with the team. Iwuji will participate in the National Memorial Day Parade for the third time, bringing one of the DGM x JIM Xfinity Series cars to Washington, D.C. to take part in the tribute. The parade will air live on YouTube and American Forces Network, and will be syndicated on major networks throughout June.

Iwuji’s return to the track is a celebration of his service, perseverance, and the enduring spirit of those who serve. He is grateful for the support of Chevrolet Accessories and Lincoln Electric, and is excited to be back racing at a storied track like Talladega Superspeedway. As the stars and stripes fly high at Talladega, Iwuji’s return represents more than just a comeback – it’s a tribute to the sacrifices made by military heroes and a celebration of the American spirit.

The National Memorial Day Parade is the largest Memorial Day event in the country, drawing over 300,000 spectators and 10,000 participants from across the U.S. Iwuji’s participation in the parade is a testament to his dedication to honoring and remembering fallen troops, and his commitment to serving as a role model for others. With his return to the track and his participation in the parade, Iwuji is inspiring others to follow in his footsteps and pursue their passions, whether on or off the track.
