The next-generation Jeep Compass is expected to be released in 2025, with teasers already out and about. The current-generation Compass has been a strong seller for the brand, along with the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler. The nameplate is crucial for Jeep, and with its global electrification strategy, the Compass plays a significant role.

Recently, Jeep showcased the upcoming third-generation Compass in a new set of black and white photos, taken by renowned photographer Alessandro Dobici. The photos aim to “reveal the car as both a machine and work of art,” but they also leave some clues about the vehicle’s design.

Some notable features of the 2026 Jeep Compass include an illuminated grille that mimics those found on the Wagoneer S EV, textured parts, and a Jeep wordmark on the seats. The car’s cabin also contains Easter eggs, including the seven-slot grille icon and the words “Since 1941,” a callback to the first Jeep produced in 1941.

The Compass will be built in Melfi, Italy, and will be first introduced in Europe. According to Stellantis, the modular STLA Medium platform allows for various powertrain options, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric.

It is unclear whether the next-gen Jeep Compass will reach the US, as Stellantis has paused work at its Brampton Assembly Plant in Canada where it was supposed to be built. However, the Compass remains an important nameplate for Jeep, and the brand will likely continue to produce it in some form.
