Videotex, an Indian original design manufacturer (ODM) for TVs, has set a goal to reach Rs 1,000 crore in revenue by 2028. The company is expanding its manufacturing capacity to 3.2 million units per annum, which is expected to double its topline in the next four years. Videotex is also diversifying into the appliances segment and plans to add 2-3 new product categories, leveraging its strong brand relationships, expertise in product quality, and manufacturing excellence.
The company, which operates two manufacturing units in Greater Noida, has already reached an annual manufacturing capacity of 2.2 million units in Phase I. With Phase II, this will grow to 3.2 million units, further strengthening its presence in high-end LED solutions, including mini LED TVs.
Videotex’s core focus has been TV manufacturing, and it has evolved as one of the leading players in the ODM space. The company is investing around Rs 100 crore to boost its R&D and manufacturing processes. It plans to onboard over 10 new brands in the LED TVs, reinforcing its position as a leading ODM player in the industry by FY 2028-29.
The company also has plans to manufacture larger screen sizes, including 75-inch, 86-inch, and 100-inch models, catering to the premium segment. Additionally, Videotex is investing in AI for smarter manufacturing operations and enhancing its injection molding capabilities, aligning with cutting-edge technology solutions.
Videotex is also exploring foreign markets in the next 2-3 years, although the main focus will be the domestic market. The company has a presence in the original equipment manufacturer side through its TV brand Daiwa, which is mainly available on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.
