Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and other brands, is reportedly considering two internal candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). According to a source quoted by Reuters, Picat, a French-Italian entrepreneur, and Filosa, an American business executive, are being eyed for the top spot.
Picat, who is currently the CEO of French company Faurecia, has a long history in the automotive industry, having previously led PSA Group’s French subsidiary, Peugeot. His experience in the industry and knowledge of the French market could be an asset to Stellantis.
Filosa, on the other hand, is a seasoned executive with a wide range of experience in various sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and real estate. His business acumen and leadership skills could be seen as a valuable asset to the company.
It is not clear which of the two candidates is the favored choice, or when a final decision will be made. A replacement for the current CEO, Carlos Tavares, is needed as he is stepping down.
