Edelweiss Air, a Swiss leisure airline and part of the Lufthansa Group, has unveiled a completely redesigned cabin for its Airbus A350 fleet. The new interior is built around the motto “More room to feel good” and focuses on relaxation, comfort, and a warm welcome for every traveler. The aircraft’s exterior features an updated livery with deeper red and blue tones, which flows seamlessly into the cabin. The interior design draws inspiration from cozy sofas and modern Swiss architecture, using clean lines, minimal forms, and carefully placed patterns.

The new cabin features a calmer, more harmonious color palette, with soothing shades of blue in different tones, promoting tranquility and balance. The Economy Class has a clean, high-quality design with soft blue woven fabrics, while the Premium Economy offers more legroom and a sturdy hard-shell design. The Business Class has a continuous 1-2-1 configuration, giving every passenger direct aisle access, and features rich dark blue tones and unique woven upholstery.

The top-tier Business Suite targets those seeking maximum seclusion and comfort, with seats that convert into spacious flat beds and high doors for true privacy. The cabin also features technology enhancements, including free high-speed internet, 4K screens with Bluetooth audio pairing, and human-centric lighting that adjusts to support natural sleep-wake cycles.

Edelweiss CEO Bernd Bauer explained that the new cabin was designed with the guests’ well-being at the forefront, aiming to create a space that radiates calm, delivers high quality, and stands as a premium offering. The first Airbus A350 with the new cabin will begin flying in December 2026, with bookings opening from summer 2026. The full A350 fleet is expected to feature the refreshed interior by summer 2027, positioning Edelweiss as a strong choice for leisure travelers seeking Swiss-inspired hospitality, generous space, and modern amenities on long-haul routes.

The new cabin features several key improvements, including more legroom, larger recline angles, and noise-cancelling headphones. The Premium Economy and Business Class also offer expanded meal choices, presented on china with a tablecloth, and alcoholic beverages are included. The Business Suite features a generous open footwell, memory foam pillows, and a mattress topper for better sleep. With its focus on comfort, technology, and Swiss quality, Edelweiss Air’s new cabin is set to provide a unique and enjoyable experience for its passengers.
