Several airlines are introducing or expanding their flight services from Switzerland to the UK this year. SWISS, the national airline, is increasing its services to London Gatwick and Manchester from its Zurich hub. The airline already operates flights to multiple destinations in the UK, including London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Newcastle. From Geneva, SWISS will continue to fly to four London airports – Heathrow, Gatwick, City, and Stansted – as well as to Manchester.

SWISS’ sister airline, Edelweiss, has announced a new UK destination in its summer 2026 timetable. From May 29th to September 14th, Edelweiss will operate flights from Zurich to Glasgow every Monday and Friday. This adds to the airline’s existing UK routes, which include Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Newquay. Edelweiss’ new flight to Glasgow will provide passengers with more options for travel between Switzerland and Scotland.

Other airlines are also operating flights from Switzerland to the UK. EasyJet, for example, flies from Zurich to Manchester, from Basel EuroAirport to London Luton, and from Geneva to Leeds/Bradford. British Airways connects Zurich, Geneva, and Basel to London Heathrow and Gatwick. These additional flights provide passengers with more choices and flexibility when traveling between Switzerland and the UK.

The increase in flight services between Switzerland and the UK is likely to be welcome news for travelers, whether for business or leisure. With more frequent and convenient flights, passengers can easily explore the cultural, historical, and natural attractions of both countries. The new and expanded flight services also reflect the strong demand for travel between Switzerland and the UK, and are expected to boost tourism and economic ties between the two nations. Overall, the expanded flight services offer a range of options for travelers, making it easier to plan a trip between Switzerland and the UK.
