HDFC ERGO has adopted Duck Creek’s low-code, highly configurable platform to design a pioneering AI-enabled, real-time policy issuance system. This has transformed the end-to-end process for its Health and Fire lines of business, allowing for rapid response to market demands and regulatory changes. The project involved over 45 business users and 150+ IT developers working in parallel across seven systems integrator partners, designing 300+ product covers and 300+ business rules.
The results of the implementation have been significant, with product launch time reduced from 4-5 months to just four weeks, and dramatic productivity gains for agents. Operational efficiency and risk reduction have also been achieved through the reduction of manual data entry and compliance risks. Customer experience has been elevated with policies now being processed in near real-time, and customers being offered data-driven product recommendations.
