HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company, a leading private sector general insurer in India, has announced the winners of Techpreneur Season-2, a program designed to encourage tech-innovation in the insurance sector. The program, backed by BCG and Google, invited startups to present scalable solutions using new-age technologies such as AI, machine learning, and robotics. The second season of the program focused on co-creation, where startups and industry leaders worked together to build solutions.

After a rigorous evaluation process, 32 shortlisted startups were selected from over 1,000 applicants. The winners, Consumr.ai, Logicloop, CarePlix, and VoiceOwl, were awarded a paid Proof-of-Concept (POC) with HDFC ERGO, as well as Google Cloud Credits and access to industry insights and mentorship from BCG and Google.

The program, themed “Deep Connect,” aimed to celebrate the convergence of AI-driven intelligence and human empathy in insurance. HDFC ERGO’s Executive Director, Parthanil Ghosh, stated that the company believes in the power of technology to establish a “Deep Connect” with customers and provide hyper-personalized experiences.

The winners of Techpreneur Season-2 presented innovative solutions in areas such as claims efficiency, agentic AI, sales assist, and smart underwriting automation. The program has rapidly scaled its impact, reaching out to 1,000 startups this year, compared to 140 last year.

HDFC ERGO continues to leverage technology to propel financial inclusion in India, with a focus on digital transformation and AI-powered solutions. The company has launched several initiatives, including a digital-first insurance platform and strategic alliances with IIT Bombay, Duck Creek, and Google Cloud.
