Curt Fitzpatrick has been named the next head football coach at Colgate University, replacing the previous coach. Fitzpatrick comes from Cortland College, where he led the team to a 45-5 record and a national championship in 2023. He also led the team to four consecutive Empire 8 titles. Fitzpatrick’s offense set four school records during the 2023 title run, including points and yards per game. He also won the 2023 Division III National Coach of the Year award.

Before Cortland, Fitzpatrick was the head coach at Morrisville State for seven years, where he accumulated 35 victories and led the team to four winning seasons and three postseason appearances. He also won the 2014 East Region Coach of the Year award.

Fitzpatrick expressed his excitement to join the Colgate community and his commitment to building a positive culture and developing student-athletes with character and integrity. He will lead the Colgate football program for the first time on January 1, 2024.
