Emami and Dabur, two major personal care companies in India, are adopting an all-season approach to their products. Emami’s BoroPlus brand has expanded to include soaps, aloe vera gel, and prickly heat powder, building on its existing prickly heat powder offering under the Dermicool brand. Additionally, Emami has launched two new products under the Dermicool brand. Dabur, on the other hand, had launched a monsoon campaign for its ayurvedic product, Chyawanprash, to break the perception that it is only good for winter. The campaign resulted in a 12.6% secondary growth for the product. However, an expert from Sharekhan warns that it may take more time to quantify the long-term impact of such initiatives.
