Smt. Madhabi Puri Buch, Chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), inaugurated the 52nd National Convention of Company Secretaries, organized by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), in Mumbai. The three-day convention, themed “India@2047: Expanding Horizons for Professionals”, will feature discussions on topics such as evolving SEBI regulations, IFSCA, CSR, and more. Chief Guest Smt. Madhabi Puri Buch emphasized the importance of trust in markets and the role of Company Secretaries in upholding this trust. The convention also featured presentations from dignitaries such as Dr. Niten Chandra, Dr. Rajiv Mani, and Shri Amod Kumar. The ICSI President, CS B Narasimhan, shared insights on the event’s conceptualization and initiatives taken by the ICSI towards building a Viksit Bharat. The institute also launched two publications, announced forthcoming conferences, and presented awards to its Regional Council and Chapters. The event witnessed the presence of over 1500 Company Secretaries, professionals, and stakeholders in person, and approximately 5,000 delegates attended virtually.
