The con artists reportedly took possession of the ornaments and later returned fake receipts as proof of the transaction. The incident came to light after several customers approached the bank to report that their jewelry was missing and they had not received the expected payment. The police are investigating the case, and efforts are being made to identify the culprits and recover the stolen valuables. The loss is estimated to be significant, with the total value of the stolen ornaments reportedly exceeding ₹50 lakhs (approximately $68,000). Authorities are urging caution and advising customers to be vigilant and exercise due diligence in any financial transactions.
