Nestlé, a global food and beverage company, has successfully implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, a cutting-edge enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, in its Asia, Oceania, and Africa region. This upgrade will benefit 50,000 users across 112 countries, enabling them to streamline operations, improve decision-making, and anticipate consumer trends. The company plans to complete the upgrade across the rest of the group within a two-year period.
Thomas Saueressig, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, praised Nestlé’s successful implementation, stating that it showcases how scale can be a strategic advantage for innovation. Chris Wright, Head of Nestlé IT and CIO, emphasized that the common ERP system provides a unified platform and data foundation, allowing the company to execute end-to-end and have visibility across its entire operations.
The upgrade is expected to bring more flexibility, capabilities, and insights, enabling Nestlé to roll out new products globally faster and drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout its value chain. The use of AI and automation at scale will also enhance the company’s operations.
