A two-day free artificial limb implantation camp was organized at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar on July 26 and 27. The camp, held under the joint aegis of Patanjali Wellness and Udhaar Jefferies Nagpur, aimed to empower Divyangjans (people with disabilities) from Haridwar and nearby areas. Over 250 beneficiaries were provided with artificial hands, legs, callipers, crutches, and other assistive devices free of cost.

The camp was attended by prominent figures, including Param Pujya Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj, the founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth, and Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj, the Joint General Secretary. They distributed the assistive devices to the beneficiaries and encouraged them to become self-reliant. Swami Ramdev Ji emphasized that people with disabilities are not in need of sympathy, but rather empowerment, stating, “These are not disabled, but divine souls. They need not sympathy, but empowerment.”

Acharya Balkrishna Ji also interacted with the beneficiaries, reiterating that Patanjali’s objective is not only to promote Ayurvedic health but also to make every human being self-reliant. The camp was a collaborative effort, with the cooperation of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Udhaar Seva Samiti, experienced doctors, skilled technicians, and dedicated volunteers from the Patanjali Seva Department.

In addition to distributing assistive devices, the camp provided measurement, fitting, physiotherapy, and counseling services to the beneficiaries. The event served as a source of inspiration, strengthening the inner resolve of Divyangjans. The success of the camp has led to plans to organize similar camps every three to four months. The initiative reflects Patanjali Yogpeeth’s commitment to human service and national service. The camp was also attended by other prominent figures, including Swami Videhdev, Swami Punya Dev, and Sister Pooja, along with the Udhaar team management.
