The Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Commission has partnered with Patanjali Yogpeeth to promote cow protection, Panchgavya products, natural farming, and biogas expansion across the state. This collaboration aims to transform cow shelters into hubs of rural industry, driving the production of Panchgavya products and biogas. The partnership was formed after discussions between Commission chairman Shyam Bihari Gupta and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and Patanjali Co-Founder Acharya Balkrishna in Haridwar.

Under this initiative, two to 10 cow shelters in each of the 75 Uttar Pradesh districts will be developed as large model centers. These centers will be equipped with open sheds, fencing, and security arrangements to ensure the free movement of cows. The partnership will also unlock large-scale rural employment opportunities, with villagers participating in cow urine collection and product sales under a 50% commission model. Patanjali Yogpeeth will provide technical support, including training, quality control, formulation, certification, and licensing.

The initiative will also introduce advanced technologies such as geo-fencing, cow tagging, photo mapping, and fodder inventory tracking in cow shelters. Additionally, natural inputs like neem, cow urine, and vermicompost will be supplied to every village, helping farmers reduce costs, improve soil fertility, and strengthen environmental sustainability. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath believes that the cow is the foundation of the village’s progress, and this partnership is expected to advance this vision.

Baba Ramdev is expected to visit Uttar Pradesh soon to meet with CM Yogi Adityanath and finalize the roadmap for this initiative. The partnership between the Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Commission and Patanjali Yogpeeth is seen as a significant step towards promoting cow protection and rural development in the state. With the introduction of new technologies and the creation of employment opportunities, this initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the rural economy and environment. Overall, this partnership aims to promote sustainable development and improve the lives of farmers and rural communities in Uttar Pradesh.
