Meta, the tech giant, has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director and Head of its India operations, effective July 1, 2025. Srinivas will succeed Sandhya Devanathan, who has taken on an expanded role of leading both India and South East Asia. With nearly three decades of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, Srinivas is set to spearhead the India charter and strengthen strategic relationships with the country’s leading advertisers, brands, partners, and developers.

Srinivas has a strong background in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) space, having started his career at Reebok in 1996 as a product manager. He later joined Hindustan Unilever, where he spent over 15 years holding various leadership positions across categories and geographies. He also worked with WestBridge Capital Partners as an Operating Advisor and led a top role at Ola as COO and Global CMO.

Since joining Meta in 2020, Srinivas has played a pivotal role in leading the company’s work with India’s largest advertisers and agency partners, focusing on strategic revenue priorities such as AI, Reels, and Messaging. As the Director and Head of Ads Business in India, he has built a strong track record of building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and fostering strong partnerships.

Devanathan, Vice President (India and South East Asia) at Meta, expressed excitement about Srinivas’ appointment, citing his impressive track record and ability to drive Meta’s continued investment in India. Srinivas will continue to report to Devanathan and work closely with her to scale the business in India. With Meta leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels in India, Srinivas is well-positioned to drive the company’s growth and commitment in the country. His appointment is expected to strengthen Meta’s position in the Indian market and drive long-term growth for the company’s business.
