IndiGo Airlines, India’s largest low-cost carrier, is expanding its business class service, IndiGoStretch, across metro routes in a phased rollout. Starting with the Delhi-Mumbai route, the airline will deploy 45 aircraft equipped with IndiGoStretch, which offers spacious reclining seats, by 2026. The service aims to provide a premium product for passengers seeking alternative experiences. Currently, Air India dominates the business class market, but IndiGo stretches to compete with its lower prices starting at ₹18,000. The rollout is expected to complete within 14 months, initially targeting 12 routes, 10% of its current fleet, and over 260 daily flights. Upgrades include a 60W USB-C port, 3-pin universal power outlet, and priority services, but lacks lounge access, footrest, and serves cold meals. Indigo aims to expand customer demand and market awareness across key business routes. The service is expected to have a positive impact on market reception.
